Yesterday you were pure-bred BY :dr. Asmae GHareebMorocco/Italy Translated By:Hassan Hegazy
Alas! Our horse You are getting very old Today Treachery had decayed you bones
you got lost And your sons had wasted your aims Distorted your Goals ..
Where are you leading me, And the betrayers had stolen your bridle… ?
This is the Iraqi palms, tall very Sit under them and let me Slice your skin And wash the decay of past
You noble horse Do not object And let me feed you Iraqi dates And give you Euphrates water Sit here Trust me Tomorrow We will fly high
stand my horse And be as pride as the dates Of this beautiful land Let me saddle you wind the race And take me to the future That rises with all its freedom
